## Questions Based On Alphabet Combinations

Each of the questions will list out options showing various combinations of alphabets. Every combination will be based on some relationship between the alphabets (based on the positions). One combination will stand odd from the rest. You have to find that.

1. Options :

a) BDFH

b) SUWY

c) ILNO

d) CEGI

**Answer :** c) ILNO

In all other combinations except option c, every alphabet is second next to the previous one. For example, D is second next to B, F is second next to D and so on. However, L is third next to I. Hence option c is our answer.

2. Options :

a) EFIJ

b) MNQR

c) TUXY

d) CDFG

**Answer :** d) CDFG

Consider first option EFIJ. F comes immediately after E. Afer F, two alphabet positions (of G and H) are skipped. Then the next two alphabets I and J are included.

Similar relationship exists between the alphabets in the combinations MNQR and TUXY. However, there is only one alphabet position in between D and F of the final option CDFG. Hence option d is the odd one.

3. Options :

a) HGFE

b) SRQP

c) PONL

d) XWVU

**Answer :** c) PONL

All the combinations except option c have adjacent alphabets in reverse order. For example consider, HGFE. Here G occurs immediately to the left of H, F occurs immediately to the left of G and so on.

However, in option c, L is not the left adjacent alphabet of N. Hence option c is our answer.

4. Options :

a) CFDE

b) PSQR

c) NQOP

d) HKJI

**Answer :** d) HKJI

Consider CFDE. F occurs third right to C. D occurs first right to C and E occurs second right to C.

Similar relation exist between alphabets of the combinations PSQR AND NQOP. But this is not the case with HKJI.
